Best, Chiara explores the complexity of farewells and the attachment to those ‘non-places’ that become real only when experienced. Using the visual metaphor of packing paper, a common material that envelops and protects, the story of moments of transition between here and elsewhere is narrated. The packing paper makes the object both visible and distant at the same time, symbolizing an absent presence and a bond that withstands time and distance, intertwined with memories and lived experiences. It is an ode to the past, an ode to the future, an ode to Urbino.
