Who decides the real meaning of a border? Defined by many as finis, it is associated with a clear separation between two contiguous spaces of comparable nature. When a demarcation line is drawn, when a border is written, a here and a there are created, an inside and an outside, defining calcified and isolated spaces. 

Fermentazione sociale is a project born from the encounter of two different realities and establishes its foundations in a hybrid space, halfway between openness and closure. Two realities, two forms, two containers that maintain their raison d'etre only when circumscribed, confirmed, and closed to the air. But the question to ask is: how relative are the positions of inside and outside? Let's position ourselves above them. Changing perspective, we would find ourselves within the limis. More an area than a stretch, it produces a tension that transforms into desire. A space that invites us to pass through, to disarrange, rearrange, and create possibilities for encounter and connection. Line of closure and line of contact. This is a new type of border: a short circuit of concepts that believes in the spontaneity of creating a mutable society. A reality that exists only when closed to the outside. 

The project transforms the metaphor through which reality passes into an image and demonstrates how waiting and preservation within fermentation become contamination and change within social fermentation.
